Bangladeshi Singer Habib Wahid

Habib Wahid is a Bangladeshi composer and musician. He is notable for his fusion of traditional Bengali folk music with contemporary techno and urban beats. His music is mainly influenced by British Bangladeshis, while he lived there as a student. He takes folk music and remixes with popular music forms. He remixes songs of composers like Hason Raja, Shah Abdul Karim, Amir Uddin and others with the music with hip-hop, reggae, rap and electronica.

 


Habib started to work with other Asian music producers such as Karsh Kale . He had already produced and planned his music , but he had a vocalist to develop his new album. While living in London , looking for the singer Kaya , owner of a Sylheti restaurant .  In 2003 , Habib released his first album Krishno that proved a success in Britain and Bangladesh . The album Krishno had a mix of folk and modern electronica music , introducing a new genre to the realm of music Dhaka .



In the next few years , Habib had released six albums - Maya (2004 ) , Moina Go ( 2005) , Shono (2006 ) , Panjabiwala (2007 ) , Bolchi tomake (2008 ) and Obosheshe (2008 ) . He has featured new voices in all her albums . Besides Kaya , he singers such as Helal , Julee , Nirjhor , Shireen and Nancy exhibited in these albums .

Habib first debuted as a vocal in " Moina Go" where he played two soft singles and Esho Brishti Din Gelo Namai . He also has his father , Ferdous Wahid singing a song on that album . On June 1, 2011 eighth album Habib Ahoban ! was released . The album consists of 9 tracks in which three are duets with Nancy and Kona and one was sung by Ferdous Wahid . Habib Wahid has a new album called Shadhin released in December 2012 .




Besides album work , Habib has created a series of jingles for products Bangla Link , City Cell , Pran - up , Meril Beauty Soap and others .He also composed songs for films like Hridoyer Kotha , Akash Chowa Bhalobasha , Chandragrohon , I love you , Eito Prem , Third Person Singular Number , Amar Ache Jol , etc Habib makes songs that " has the essence of the roots of Bangla music " , says Kumar Bishwajit while a song led by Habib Wahid in a movie called Projapoti .
